DenverInternationalAirport - Denver International Airport

The Denver International Airport is not only one of the largest airports in the world (according to land size it is #2) but it also enjoys a fine history of award winning service. The DenverInternationalAirport opened it's doors to the public in Feb 1995.

Situated 25 miles from Downtown Denver, the airport often goes under the call letters DIA, but it's official IATA designation is DEN. The spot that was chosen for the airport is much further from Denver than the airport that it replaced, but the spot was chosen to reduce the noise from the airport that could be heard from the city.

The public transportation system in Denver operates a bus line that takes passengers from the terminal to various places in the area. By the year 2015, the airport hopes to have a commuter railway system in place that will provide transportation to Denver's Downtown Union Station.

So if you are flying through the Denver area then you will be in good hands with the Denver International Airport, voted "Best Airport in North America" in 2005.
